Harmos Horton Lusk advises on Villa Maria Estate share and land asset sales

Harmos Horton Lusk advised one of New Zealand’s largest wine companies Villa Maria Estate Limited and its shareholder FFWL Limited (In Receivership) on the sale of all the shares in Villa Maria Estate Limited and the sale of land surplus to Villa Maria Estate’s core operating requirements. The sale of shares to New Zealand wine producer Indevin Group Limited completed in September 2021. The sale of surplus land valued at $75 million was made to a related company of NZX-listed Goodman Property Trust.

The firm advised throughout the competitive sales processes, including vendor due diligence, transaction structuring, commercial negotiations on transaction documentation and regulatory strategy and engagement. The Harmos Horton Lusk team that advised on the transactions was led by Andrew Harmos and included associates Kelsey Lindsay and Fletcher Boswell.
