The 2017 New Zealand Law Awards finalists have been announced, with Harmos Horton Lusk receiving six finalist nominations.

The firm is proud to be represented at this year's New Zealand Law Awards for its involvement in:  

  • Silver Fern Farms share sale:  nominated under the M&A Deal of the Year and the International Deal of the Year categories;
  • Restaurant Brands accelerated rights entitlement offer:  nominated under the Capital Markets Deal of the Year category;
  • Trustpower Demerger:  nominated under the Capital Markets Deal of the Year category;
  • Vector’s acquisition of E-Co Products:  nominated under the Mid-Market Deal of the Year category,

as well as being a finalist in the Deal Team of the Year (<100 employees) category.

This continues Harmos Horton Lusk's strong run at the New Zealand Law Awards, where it received four deal category finalist nominations as well as the Deal Team of the Year (<100 employees) nomination last year and went on to win:

  • the Deal Team of the Year (<100 employees) category;
  • the Mid-Market Deal of the Year category, for its involvement in the merger to form Coretex and the Milford investment.

The winners of this year's New Zealand Law Awards will be announced on 23 November.

Harmos Horton Lusk’s leading position has also been confirmed in the recently released 2017 edition of AsiaLaw Profiles, with the firm being ranked as “Outstanding” for Corporate/M&A, as well as receiving recommendations for Capital Markets, Private Equity and Banking & Finance.  Directors Andrew Harmos, Greg Horton, Paul Oldfield and Nathanael Starrenburg were all recognised as Leading Lawyers, and Senior Associate Wook Jin Lee was named as a Rising Star.
