Katie is a senior banking, finance and financial services specialist with a wide range of experience across complex transactional and advisory engagements. 

She advises on corporate and acquisition finance (including syndicated and multi-jurisdiction arrangements), structured finance (including securitisation), project-based funding, debt restructuring (including in distressed situations) and general banking and finance transactions. Katie’s experience extends to impact funding and sustainable finance arrangements.

She also provides advisory support to clients in the financial services sector on a diverse range of matters, covering regulatory, product development, structuring and commercial advice.

Katie’s client base includes banks, fintechs, private funds, corporate trustees, significant privately-owned companies and boards. She has an interest in working with both established financial services businesses and new entrants on high-growth, tech-based or innovation-led projects.

Katie is an Oxford trained lawyer with over 20 years of experience in New Zealand. She has been recognised by leading international directories over several years. Before joining Harmos Horton Lusk, Katie worked at top-tier full-service and boutique law firms and was formerly the head of the New Zealand banking and finance team for a global law firm.
